4th Echelon (4E) provides Project Management, Project Portfolio Management, and Project Management Office (PMO) consulting, training, and mentoring solutions, specifically tailored to meet our customers' needs.
Most organizations have a mix of the various lines, levels, layers (or "echelons"), of project management systems required to successfully manage their respective projects. However, few have all four.
Often we find that reasonably experienced People (the 1st Echelon) are in place to oversee and conduct projects. Further, they may have also incorporated reasonably mature Processes (the 2nd Echelon). Sometimes the organization may have even implemented compatible Tools & Techniques (the 3rd Echelon) to enable their people to more efficiently and effectively perform their required processes. Unfortunately, it is rare to find the organization that has recognized the value of, and committed to, aspiring to the next level; the initial and ongoing Training & Mentoring of their people to firmly and permanently embed the processes and tools. This final level completes the circuit and creates an actual, sustainable project management "System." And this is the 4th Echelon.
Bringing each level together in a methodical, relevant, coherent and environmentally-appropriate manner is our focus. Our customers appreciate our experience and our ability to utilize that experience in recognizing existing challenges and then applying the appropriate processes, tools, techniques, training, mentoring and organizational change management to address those challenges in a practical, meaningful and useful way.
